Volume 1: we've come very far since clipart!

Wow what can I say? This publication started out as a this one paragraph nothing, anonymously slipped in about 30 peoples lockers. It was then that I saw this the potential that Voices had. The actual idea was based off a publication that my mom had ran underground while she was a union organizer. She created a paper to speak to girls in the sweatshop she was trying to get unionized.

It allowed her to remain anonymous while still getting the word out about how many people were ready to leave that company if working conditions and the salaries were not raised. It was very effective and became the business model for me. I of course wanted other things but felt that my concerns needed to be addressed and talking to the dean was not going to help.

Some of the publication was based on inside jokes but it had a parallel reason for it's existence. So it's been morphing all these years...since about 94-95. It's all a bit surreal still.
